Every student in 9th grade choir must participate in private group lessons.  Each lesson is twenty minutes long and will focus on healthy vocal techniques and correct sound production all while working on the music sung in concert choir. 

Students will be taken out of class for their lessons.  If it is possible for a student to be taken out of a study hall this option will be taken first.  If not, students will be put in a six-day rotation.  This rotation will keep them from missing the same class every six days.

If a student has a test, quiz, important notes, presentation, or any other academic responsibility in class, they are advised to STAY IN CLASS.

If a student misses a lesson for any reason, they are not penalized if they make that lesson up before their next scheduled lesson.  They need to ask Ms. Schaefer or Mr. Joseph for a pass to attend a lesson with the same voice part.  We have provided each schedule for you on this page so you can check when make-up lesson times are and when each student has their lesson.
