Mr. Joseph
Mr. Joseph grew up in Northbrook, Illinois, a northwest suburb of Chicago. Mr. Joseph was given many opportunities
in High School. He was in band, choir, show choir, musical, variety show, and his a cappella group, "Ow!" After
he graduated in 1999, Mr. Joseph attended Drake University in order to get his degree in Music Education. He knew he
wanted to be a music teacher since his senior year of high school. At Drake he was involved in Drake Choir, Chamber
Choir, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, a professional music fraternity, and his own men's a cappella group, "The FACRats."
After Mr. Joseph graduated from Drake University in 2003, he started teaching at the West Central Valley Community Schools
in Stuart, Iowa. He built up his 7-12 vocal music program, giving students opportunities such as: Men's Choir, Women's
Choir, Mixed Choir, Carol Choir, Singing Valentines, Musical, Solo/Ensemble Contest, All-State Auditions, and Honor Choirs.
Mr. Joseph taught at West Central Valley for three years. At the end of his third year he decided to make a change
and move to the wonderful district of Ankeny, Iowa. He currently directs the 9th grade choral ensembles and the 9th
Grade Show Choir, "Internal Combustion."
"I am thrilled to be teaching in the Ankeny Community Schools! I have loved my time at Northview this year
and very much look forward to the years to come with these wonderful and talented students!"
